Machiavelli and art

Machiavelli and art.

"Nor do I hold with those who regard it as a presumption if a man of low and humble condition dare to discuss and settle the concerns of princes;
because, just as those who draw landscapes place themselves below in the plain to contemplate the nature of the mountains and of lofty places, and in order to contemplate the plains place themselves upon high mountains, even so to understand the nature of the people it needs to be a prince to understand that of princes it needs to be of the people."

These quotes are from Machiavelli"s book The Prince, well as we know Niccolo Machiavelli was an Italian Renaissance historian, politician, diplomat, philosopher but mostly he is famous  from his book.

Art is a form of expression, true art is something deeper then just an illustration or  simply more than a picture we see with our eyes. This message is not something all human beings can understand easily. In Machiavelli's quote we can see how easily art is accused for being just and an imitation, something lifeless, without feelings or emotions.Sadly many philosophers and professors agree with Machiavelli and point out the state that art is just an imitation.
At some point I can't agree with such statement, people may be blind that art is something that must have a soul, well it is true art that should be judged that way, Only something drawn with emotions may be called true art,and when you look at a painting there you have to feel the soul of it,feel those emotions.
Machiavelli was a sad poor man in heart who made this book only from his critical situation, so for him to judge about art in such way is very wrong I think. People who are happy and true to themselves may understand true art. The richness, the fantasy a painting may give you.But maybe Machiavelli did understand it, maybe he was only groomed into such political statement that he was suppose to be in to just satisfy other people at that point. So in the end we may never know which is the true meaning of art. All we have to rely is on our own intuition.

The other side of the canvas.

Artists are not standard people. It is always a flow from chaos to calmness. But there is always a choice to make.

Even so that may be impossible.

Addict

Lovely walking in the night streets....But something can be missing ... That feeling of emptiness you have lust to fill with...Maybe it can be anger or love....Or some kind of strange addict.

These walks you make to try to fill the pores are all the same in end. You fill them with air, but the addict is still there.

My work

My designed Pavilion

A Pavilion is mostly a small isolated building for different meanings. It is a beautifully designed residential building or it can have a economical purpose.Unlike a gazebo it is closed on all sides from bad weather.

My pavilion is for relaxation and it is a summer building only. Designed for parks and out doors. Also as you can see in the plan it is suppose to have 2 rooms with a cinema set so people in the parks can easily walk inside, sit , watch a movie or clip. and walk outside.Simple. colorful and fresh.

First snow.

When you feel the coldness of the first snow you understand...

That winter has come and there is no where to hide from it.

Some of my latest works

Hello art readers !!As you know I am a architect student and today I would like to show some of my latest works. I will try to be short but clear.

Class: Architecture projecting ( this class is for us to understand the basics of projecting buildings, and different objects ,also for us to be creative on our own works)

Task: To draw 2 works of pavilions ( mostly small, isolated building beautifully decorated. for relaxation, entertainment; Unlike gazebo is closed on all sides of the weather.)On the first work we must show 3 examples of Russian pavilions and on second we must show 3 examples of foreign pavilions.

Example of a foreign pavilion
build in London 1851
"Crystale Palace"

If you would like me to explain deeper and more clear of my pavilion projects, and show what else examples I used please answer my question or leave a comment :)

Next class : Composition modeling (here we learn modeling figures from paper and cardboard which all architectures need for projecting a house. We are given different tasks to help us open creatively.)

Task: Think of 3 models with the same elements of figures which show:
1). Depth composition (where the viewer has a movement towards the main object)
2).Front side composition (where the idea of the structure is based on only one side(viewer only looks from one angle)
3).Bulk composition(where the idea of the stucture is based on all sides in the model(viewer can walk around)

the viewer is the little paper man on every model :)

Hope you enjoyed my works!! xxx
